# UPI, cash & card tracking

> Take UPI, cash or card, with a payment ledger you can trust. Confirmation stays with you unless a provider verifies it.

## Honest payment tracking

Guests can pay by UPI (QR, link or their UPI app), pay cash at the counter or choose pay later for dine-in; counter staff can also take and record card payments. DineMate records every payment in an append-only ledger and is clear about how each one was confirmed.

- **UPI that does not pretend:** a UPI QR or link does not prove payment on its own. You verify it against your bank or UPI app, or a payment provider confirms it, and the ledger records which.
- **Transaction IDs:** guests can add their UPI transaction ID to speed up verification.
- **Cash and card:** collect at the counter or table and record the method.
- **No edits:** the ledger cannot be rewritten after the fact, which keeps end-of-day totals trustworthy.
- **Money in rupees, exactly:** amounts are stored in paise, so totals always add up.

### Your own UPI ID

Payments go straight to the UPI ID you set in Settings. DineMate does not hold your money.
