Our approach

DineMate is built so that guests can order without an account and restaurants keep control of their own data.

What we collect

Restaurants and staff: account details (name, email), role, sign-in activity, and the business data you enter: menu, orders, payments records, settings and uploads.

Guests ordering from a restaurant: the order itself (items, table, name you enter, optional phone number) and a random identifier your browser creates for itself so you can find your own recent orders. We do not fingerprint devices or build profiles of guests.

Location: if a guest chooses to check their location, the position is used in the browser only to compare distance to the restaurant. It is not sent to or stored on our servers.

This website: we do not run advertising trackers. We use no third-party analytics scripts on dinemate.app.

How data is used

To run the service, show orders to the restaurant that received them, send notifications you ask for, produce analytics and forecasts for the restaurant that owns the data, and keep the service secure.

Sharing

Every record belongs to one restaurant and is never visible to another. We use service providers for hosting, email and notifications. We do not sell personal data.

Your choices

Restaurants can export and delete their data on request. Guests can clear their browser storage at any time, which resets the device identifier. For any privacy request, email the address on the contact section of the home page.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top.
